Tribunal: when start assassin attempts?

When do assassins start to attack you in Tribunal? I read in the small manual that "Tribunal begins the first time you rest." Well i started a new level 1 character and have rested at least 6 times and still the assassins dont show up, so i am wondering if my Tribunal is broken or what?

Also, could someone tell me where to find Mournhold, i do not even know what direction it is, thanx.

The higher your lvl the higher the chance of assassins coming. There is no way to go to Mournhold before the assassins attack. I suggest you just play Morrowind, the assassins will come pretty soon. Or, if you are desperate, lvl 20 times or so as lvl1. When they come, follow the journal notes to get to Mournhold.

I started a new character for Tribunal, and because I wanted to get to Mournhold I "forced" as assassin at level 2. Basically I just slept for one hour at a time many times in succession, and eventually the assassin appeared.

When I installed Tribunal I was at level 11 and was attacked the first time I slept. I wasn't ready for it and was killed. I went to the Fighters Guild beds and backed myself in the corner (full health and fatuge) with a guard nearby and ready for the assassin. They didn't show. Seems sleeping indoors has been safe but out away from town they will come for you.

As far as I can tell it is completely random, independant of level or location. I had one come when I was level one just as frequently as later in the game, and I had them come when I rested in a guild bunk, or out in the middle of the forest.

In some indoor places there is a bug such that they will spawn in the middle of furniture and just stand there where you can kill them and they won't fight back. Otherwise you wouldn't know that they carried a 2k dart on them!

It only took me 3* a hour sleeping to get attack by the assasin. My caracter is a lvl 8 wood elf and i slept in the Balmora House of the Balmora House plugin.

The assasin is pretty weak, it only took 3 arrows before i killed him.
The first 2 where in him before he could even hit me, that is because the first arrow brought him down to his knees.

The armor is strong and looks good. It will make my caracter a lott stronger. Armor went up from 19 to 54.

Do they carry a 2K dart? I did not see it. Must look better the next time then.

Less chance at lower levels

As far as I recall from the Tribunal interviews from around that time, the assassination attempts are very unlikely to occur at lower levels, and almost certain at higher levels.

But someone would need to check the construction set to be sure!

LOL... my level one orc fighter got attacked the first time he slept in the wilderness. It was a hell of a fight... I ended up beating him like I kill ordinators... spear. Spears are the best weapon in the game. The reach rules melee combat. Keep backing up and stabbing and they never get a swing off at you.

Only way to see they have a 2k dart on them is to kill them before they get a chance to throw it. I've never been able to get them that fast without them being stuck due to a bug.
