I just bought Gothic today...loaded it up and from what i have played so far seems like it can be a decent game once i get into playing it...the only problems i have had is that the speech is REALLY choppy so i had to turn on the subtitles...and i cannot pick up items. In the manual it came with it says CTRL+the up arrow key will pick up items in movement mode...well i tried the up arrow on the number pad with number lock on and off, didn't work, i've tried the regular up arrow...everything but i can't pick up items...anybody know why? |

(Control or LeftMouseButton) + forward does virtually everything. Whatever you wanna do, this should be the first try.
For example, to pick up a sword you have to look at the sword. When you can read the name you press the LMB, hold it and press forward.
Now the sword is in your inventory.
