Then start a thread on that.
I just don't think some people want to have to wade through that stuff to find posts actually dealing with this thread, so please, keep the topic-baning to a dull roar.

Back to James. With mixed emotions. I really like the music, but it represents dark times for me.

Any fans of Jazz? I like the bebop-derived styles the most ( hard bop and post bop). I listen to all the old masters and the new guys too. Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Eric Dolphy, Greg Osby, Jason Moran etc... lots more.

I noticed that some people here tend to like hard/aggressive Metal/alternative type stuff. I you dig that, then you would definitely like some of the early 70's late 60's fusion albums like "Bitches Brew" by Miles Davis and "Emergeny!" by Tony Williams' Lifetime.

"Emergency!!"! rules. Really intense, hypnotic guitar work by John Mclauglin, spacey organ by Larry Young, and drumming by the MASTER (the late) Tony Williams.

If you like guitar based rock, you should check out Pat Metheny. Try his "The Road to You" album to start. A good intro to Jazz improvisation and swinging...

I also enjoy romantic and post-romantic classical music and Bjork. But JAZZ is what I listen to mostly.
