Yeah, that's right: After yesterday's release of a improved Mistmare demo, there is another one today, now featuring improved keyboard controls. You can download a new full version or a patch <a href="http://mistmare.arxeltribe.com/news/" target="_blank">here</a> at the official site. It's good to know that Arxel Tribe listens to the complains of the fans and fan sites (I know someone who refused to review the game because of the controls *g*). |

It's much better, isn't it?
The mouselook is inverted, which seems silly to me - some developers seemed determined to take the long way home!
But it's a huge improvement; I can actually just play now rather than fight the controls. |

I tried the latest demo and I can't get adjusted to the controls and can't seem to change them to something that actually works for me. After playing Morrowind, Arx Fatalis and ohte RPG's that have simple straightforward controls setup much like action/ shooters, the mistmare demo is just a nightmare for me. I gave up and unloaded the demo. No interest in going back at this point. |
