Dungeon Lords demo problem

Do any of you who played DL demo know how to decrease the distance level. I have an Geforce2mx400 card(please don't ask me change my card) and the card calculated every piece in the environment even far objects that you can not see properly. This diminish the performance much. I tried to decrease distance level from the menu, but game do not accept this. It's always 100 when i tried to decrease to 50 or something. Closed menu then open and it's 100 again. I tried to find the config file and change it from that but i could not found one.

Sorry, but I have feeling a lot of those options are fixed for the demo and cannot be changed. I'm sure it will be no problem once the full game is released!!

The devs have specifically said 'nothing good can come from altering anything on the options page' for the demo ... it is supposedly all set at this point, and will be fine in the release game.
