Getting the hammer of innos back from the judge?

I recently was sent on the task to get evidence to blackmail the judge for lee.
however to get his trust (the judges) i had to steal the hammer of innos from the monastrary.

Do i need to eventually get it back from the judge to give back to the magicans or something?
i really didn't want to have to steal it in the first place because i was hoping to keep good releations with them and now if i go back there i get attacked.

no, you can keep it, as long as the mages and novices don't know about it, comes in handy with the magical golem in the mountains behind the monastery. (1 blow, and he's dust.)

Well i gave it to the judge already so i could get the evidence that lee asked me to get.
So how do i get it back from the judge? i tried whacking him but he's too strong for me because he uses the hammer.

This will not be possible, the judge is one of the invulnerable characters in this game. I know because I tried with to kill him with a high level Dragon Hunter once, and no matter how often I reloaded the game or how often I hit him, he never took damage. Same thing also with Sekob, he is another one of those invulnerables or Lee. If you've given the hammer already to the judge then it is lost to you, sad as it may seem.

But then again there is only one thing the hammer is good for, for killing the Magic Golem, since this is the only weapon to destroy it. My suggestion for going about this quest would be to retrieve the hammer, kill the Golem and then give it to the judge, since you will never again need it later in the game.

maybe, you could put the judge to sleep with a sleep rune/scroll-spell, and then mug him??

Well, when I visited him in Chapter 5 once, after escorting his wife and son to Khorinis, he attacked me and I was not able to damage him in any way. It might be that he is only invulnerable in certain chapters, then, I wonder?

Playing as a mage you get a quest to collect all "Almanac of Possessed" from the poeple possessed by seekers. Sekob is one of them (in chap. 5). I had no problems with beating him.
