Enable "Fog Table Emulation" in your nvidia driver.
If this doesnīt help post your system specs.

Intel 810 integrated graphics?
Iīm not even sure this fulfills the minimum requirements.
Try to update your drivers and disable fog in the Gothic.ini.

I have virtually the same system, with zero problems using 21.81 under Win98SE. So I think your hardware is uncritical.
Have you tried the usual driver shuffle? Latest Det., reinstall DX, run DXDiag, reinstall Gothic, disable sound,...

Have you enabled "Fog table emulation.." and "Adjust Z-Buffer..." on the D3D properties sheet?

yeah what I can but WinXP doesn't let you reinstall directx since it comes with 8.1 and the xp driver doesn't let you adjust z buffer

The latest official Det. for XP is 21.83. Try this one.
