Gold announcement and release dates here.
Looks like North America will have to wait a few days more than the UK and Germany. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Decisions, decisions. I'll wait a few days and decide whether to trust the local distie (who was first out anywhere last time) or order from the UK. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

Looks like I'm canceling WoW again!
X2 claimed SWG as a victim. How could X3 do any less when it looks bigger and prettier?
X3, Oblivion, X3, Oblivion, X3..... *head explodes*
Plenty to do single player until DDO comes out. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

I'm working thru another attempt at X2. I'm ready to
Spoiler:
blow up the Khaak base in Ore Belt.
I'm a little curious how far I've got to go in the story arc. I've got a much larger economy going this go-round. I'd never built any factories beyond energy and wheat, and this time I've got a crystal fab along with twice as many total factories as before. I'm looking to set up a loop, but I'm unsure how to make the freighters do what I want, particularly with all the mods available. Right now I'm making good use of the BPH software for purchasing, but I haven't managed to figure out some of the other mods out of the "official bundle".
Haven't decided whether to buy X3 yet--kinda depends on how well I stick with X2. I've certainly gotten my money out of X2 based on dollars/hour, but I hate to buy a "replacement game" before I've come close to finishing the first one. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

It's been a LONG time but ... I'd say maybe halfway?
The main game really isn't that long (but some of the later missions are fairly difficult... especially if you haven't -- well, as a vague and ominous suggestion: Manually dock your ship with a station from time to time). _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

I've never finished the main campaign...and I don't really feel compelled to. I admire your approach, dte, but I can't resist something new and shiny that might come that little bit closer to the holy grail of my idea of perfection. _________________ Editor @ RPGDot |

Loved X2, my son is still playing it, but I have 3 other unfinished games on my PC not to mention a couple of beta tests!! Have to really think about this one, since Oblivion is a MUST buy for me; I've bought and played ALL the Elder Scroll games, including Battlespire!! _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

Yers, I have too much on my plate but I've been a space-sim fan longer than an RPG fan, so this is a must-have and consequences be damned. My UK preorder is winging its way over as I type:
" Dear Mr Turner
Order number(s):
xxxxxxx
I am delighted to let you know that your Preorder for X3: Reunion will be with you shortly. The order will be despatched by your chosen delivery method in time to reach you for the morning of release."

Release date for the USofA! 6NOV05.
I assume our friends in the Great White North will have the same date, Xen.
Still on the fence about the purchase. Will get the game some day, just don't know if that day is near yet. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

It will probably take shops around here at least a week longer at least to stock it... unless it's getting more hype than X2 got. _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi
