In Pool of Radiance, how do u damage the wraith (1st dungeon

what weapon do I need to do damage to this fiend?

A magical one.

In short, it's a horrible, horrible early encounter.

Your mage will be the best bet, with his magic missile spells. The cleric can try and turn it (but likely will fail). Everyone else can surround it and cry and take horrific damage hoping the mage kills it. Meatshields for the mage basically.

Alternatively, all your characters can pick up a level one wizard as their second level and blow it to pieces with magic missiles. Works on shadows too.

Or avoid it until you find a magic weapon. There's so many magic items in this game you WILL find one soon.
