Sisters of Glass was pretty decent. Oath of Swords was good to. Think the Lark and the Wren was ok to. I just download a bunch and start in on them. Some I like some I don't.

@Roqua: Try Wizard's Bane and Wizardry Compiled. I have the actual book and it's quite funny.

For fans of free books, please check out Project Gutenberg:

http://gutenberg.net/ (formerly http://www.promo.net/pg/ )

This is an archive of selected texts that have either been placed into the public domain or whose copyrights have expired. I heartily recommend reading A Descent Into The Maelstrvm by Edgar Allan Poe.

I hate gutenburg search function, how many time i end up with zero title found? I don't mind simple webpage design but this one ...

I am spoiled by the power of Google search.

Thanks for the Poe link, cfmdobbie. I enjoyed Descent... although I found the end a bit abrupt. My favourite is The Telltale Heart, but there's plenty of his I haven't read.

Did anyone ever play a game called the Dark Eye? Based on Poe stories, and presented in a Myst-like interface with great animated clay-model characters. Not really much of a game, but a great collection of interactive short stories. Been a while since I played, but I seem to remember its treatment of "Berenice" was particularly good, and it had a fantastic reading of "Masque of the Red Death" by William S. Burroughs.
