Ooops
   

Played the first few hours of the game in 800 x 600 x 16 mode. Thought I had changed it before I started, but failed to press ENTER after making the vidoo changes.

Have to say WOW to play at a higher rez and with 32 bit color. Makes a huge difference

I won't be able to play on high-res. I'm just greatful that my PC can handle the game.

I agree with you there, I'm VERY lucky too that my computer handles the game..

Well at least I wasn't the only one to miss that fine print at the bottom of the screen, 'press Enter to make the video change.'

Not only does the game look a heck of a lot better, especially the clouds, smoke, and fog, but the game actually runs a lot smoother as well.

It's also a lot easier to 'see' the world. I can't quite explain it, but somehow just viewing the world is easier on my eyes. No, I guess I can't really explain it.
