Laibach- Jesus Christ Superstars

Got one of my Cd's jaz, it was an incomplete shipment, should get Opus Dei next week! So far, i think JCS is ok, it didnt just reach out and grab me like some do, its going to take a few listens before i get the right perspective on the songs. Looks like this whole cd is about religion, and the songs tend to sound alot alike so far.

It's the most commercial of their albums. Interestingly enough, I like their originial titles on this one (like 'Kingdom of God') best. I mean - after all, they *are* kind of a cover band... so far, each of their albums required me to 'get used' to it.

Laibach-God is God

Oh yeah, Jaz, Im liking JCS now. It takes a few listens, but once you get Laibach-programmed, its wonderful ='.'=
I love the baritone back up vocals they always use like on God is God, then near the end they add the females in opposite of them, what a great song! Their stuff just tends to sound so *big*, i know thats what they reach for on songs like that, it just has this epic feel to it. Takes some getting used to, but after that there is no return='.'=

Glad you found your way to Laibach and vice versa .

I'm listening to Deichkind's 'Limit' (yeah, once again) right now.

1. The Two Towers Soundtrack by H. Shore

2. Various Bond Music and title tracks! But I never get, why they chose Madonna's awful song. It is the worst Bond Song ever and by far!
I also like KD Langs version of Tomorrow never dies better than Sheryl Crow's - but money has its affects

Oh, and be sure to check out Atomic Kitten's 2nd album, if you like some easy pop!

The radio. They're talking about traumatic brain injuries. Interesting stuff.

Steril- Transmission Pervious

This cd is something else. The title track, by the time you get to it, is almost of secondary importance, the whole album has taken a whole new direction. Its powerful, yet almost post-modern in its approach, from a "futurist" after the apocalypse point of view seems like. Lots of horror movie samples,Evil Dead 1&2, Day of The Dead, etc; Brutal industrial
