I saved the game after getting snuffed by an orc dog. Now when I load up I'm dead! Is there any possible way to bring the player back to life; or is there an automatic back-up save somewhere in the game directory?

I'm loving Gothic and will start over if absolutely have to. Can anyone help?

1.open the status screen, type 'marvin', press Esc.
2.Your screen should say 'Marvin Mode'.
3.F8 restores full health
4.get the hell outta there.
5.type marvin again to leave cheat mode
6.save the game in another slot.

Thanks for fast reply!!

I've already tried using the "cheat full" cheat by hitting "S" then "marvin". The result is my charachter's health bar is restored to full and his eyes begin blinking but he's still laying flat on his back and cannot figure out how to get him up again!
