Just so long as G3 does come to PC - there are a number of precedents where games for PC were planned to be ported to consoles but then became console only - and we're still waiting for Call of Cthulhu for PC (originally a PC game) months after the Xbox 'port' came out.

So to keep a long story short...

Nothing about a console version has been confirmed or even said?

Well this is not true, they DID mension in an interview that they are thinking of a console version, but if they make it will only be after pc versiuon is out

Also jo-wood announced some plans for Gothic on consoles, which would equal gothic 3 on xbox 360 most probably, anyhting else would be a waste of money, since porting a ready amazing game guarantees sales and low developement time, meaning much more money the easy way, rather than make a new game from scratch

Alright there have been some things said, but nothing is confirmed.

JoWooD didn't announce it, they only said they are looking into it, and they said it on a shareholders' meeting. In other words they just gave the kids some candy, but that doesn't mean that it's ectually going to happen.

The only thing PB said was that when there will be a console version, they won't be making it themselves because they don't have the experience.

So, in my opinion, "Nothing worth mentioning about a console version has been confirmed or even said"

Here is some new stuff

Gothic 3 for Xbox 360 Rumours

(PC: Single-Player RPG) | Posted by Dhruin @ 07:35 - Top

World of Gothic is reporting on an item from JoWood New about a rumoured offer for an Xbox 360 version of Gothic 3:
Rumour has it that JoWooD, European publisher for Gothic 3, has recently received a substantial bid to sell the XBox publishing rights for its hit RPG computer game.
JoWooD News.de reports that JoWooD's CEO Albert Seidl has been contacted by an American company offering several million Dollars for this deal. Only time will tell if this rumour will turn into anything more substantial.
I'll stress that we don't know the veracity of this story and it seems unlikely the PC version would be affected at any rate.

I suspect Microsoft could be the one that would want the rights, it makes a lot of sense, since this game would a real system seller

Yes, where smoke is, is fire.
(It's a dutch saying, I don't if it's the same in English).

It's very likely that at least a small part of it is true.

If it was not for Oblivion and Two Worlds coming to xbox 360, i might not believe anything. But after those two, it makes A LOT os sense that Gothic 3 would come to xbox 360, it seems console people hunger for great rpg's, and Gothic 3 could be better than both i mensioned, so it is guaranteed it would sell huge numbers and sell xboxes as well, making Microsoft a potential publisher or co-publisher

Yes, here in the US, we would say: 'Where there's smoke, there's fire'.
Same thing, really.

That's probably the correct translation.

Translation problems -> I know that I must have made a lot in this number of posts I have here. The problem is when I want to use a certain voice, like Yoda's, in my posts. Most of the times it sounds well in my head, but ridiculously to read it here at the dot.

Anyway -> Gothic on console: it is possible, but rather unlikely. Somehow it would just feel wrong to see "Gothic 3 on Xbox 360", cause of the question: "What about the first two?".

Storyline synopsis of Gothic 1-2 on manual. Problem solved !!! Come on, they would double their income and fan base with a move to xbox 360, would that stop them, it would be silly
