Coke. And I can *definitely* taste the difference without seeing the brand. Like others, Pepsi is too sweet. It has a funny taste like saccharine or aspartame that leaves an aftertaste.
Or at least it does in SE Australia. |

I really never could tell the difference til I actually did a taste test on both. Pepsi is more for the sweeter side of life. Coke just seems to be cooler though with having Sprite and all the cool celebrities. Then Pepsi comes back with Brittany Spears and starts it all over again. I choose I&W rootbeer though because it just tastes oh so good. _________________

If I drink a soda I prefer Pepsi over Coke. Generally though, I only drink soft drinks for the caffine because coffee makes me wretch. I really haven't even done that since college. Mostly I drink water.
@Dhruin--You know what's funny about your post? That's exactly why I prefer Pepsi if I have a soft drink. Coke leaves a bitter aftertaste in my mouth. _________________ ''Perhaps I'm old and tired but I always think that the chances of finding out what really is going on are so absurdly remote that the only thing to do is to say hang the sense of it and just keep yourself occupied. The new Dr. Pepper- has anyone tried it?
I had it last night, and it was nice and dreamy. It was like Dr. Pepper meets Minute Maid Strawberry or Barq's Red Soda; the nice Dr. Pepper creaminess on the front end, coupled with a weak strawberry artificial sweetness aftertaste. I loved it! _________________ "It has been a grand journey- well-worth making once."

I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called, "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."

I believe it's called Dr Pepper Red Fusion. It looks like red Dr. Pepper. _________________ "It has been a grand journey- well-worth making once."

Mannn, coke is soo much better! It is oldschool, and Pepsi took it away, and it is too modern. besides, it tastes to sweet.

@HiddenX - I'm a German beer lover myself. About 10 years ago, a friend and I decided that when we're both in our 40s, we're going to do the beer garden tour of Germany without spouses or kids, so it would just be a drinking festival. Paulaner is OK, but I prefer Spaten and St. Pauli Girl. _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E. It may be only something that's exported to the US, and not available for local consumption since I see you're in Germany. It's my personal favorite. But I'm sure anything you drink there would taste very different, since the US has limits on alcohol % in beer so most beer makers make lighter versions for the US market. _________________ The world itself shifts and changes and fades to mist like the strings of a minstrel's harp, and mayhap the dreams we forge are more enduring than the works of kings and gods.-Robert E. the alcohol-content in german beer is around 4,6% up to 5,8% for normal beer. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild= |

I must be weird... Everyone seems to think Pepsi is so sweet- I prefer Pepsi because Coke is too syrupy and sweet for my taste. It might be that Pepsi (IMO) has stronger carbonation. Usually, I go with milk or Gatorade, though.
As for the rotted teeth mentioned earlier- in high school, my chemistry teacher put a 1/4" thick piece of steel in a jar. Each day, he'd put 1 drop of Coke on the steel. By the end of the school year, there was a hole completely thru. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=
