There were areas you had to walk through in order to get to and fight Tyranthraxus. Therefore it is lineal (it has been decided in other arguements around the fourms). Morrowind, with a single main story thread, is lineal.

Side or sub quests don't impact that lineality too much. You had to kill big T, you had no dialogue options, and nothing you did affected the story (even killing the entire city guard by attacking the council). Therefore... lineal.

Well, you could have copied the cd's to your hard drive and edited the torment.ini (config.ini? Not sure about the file name) and specify where you copied the cd's. That would have saved you the hassle of disc swapping.

Baldur's Gate series by far, too bad they weren't on that list.
Much better combat than PS:T, and a very good story.

Sure thing.

It’s been awhile so please post back if this doesn’t work for you.

First create the following folders: CD2, CD3, CD4 where you installed PS: Torment (If you short of disc space then choose another location)
Then copy the content from <CD-ROM>:\CD2\ to the folder on your HD. Ex. C:\Torment\CD2.
Do the same with CD3 & CD4.

Open the Torment.ini (using notepad). Change the following entries:

CD2= C:\Torment\CD2
CD3= C:\Torment\CD3
CD4= C:\Torment\CD4

Change C:\Torment to where you installed the game.

This should do the trick

They were on the list, however a few months ago all polls were broken, resulting in options being deleted from polls. There is no way to get that info back again.

Wouldn't be much of a poll without BG and BG2. Before the poll was broken I believe it was running neck and neck with PS:T for top dog.

A sequel to Planescape is high on my wishlist. Apparently, though, Bioware was a little iffy about the possibilities. The first game nearly killed the scriptwriters from exhaustion.

Bioware had nothing to do with Planescape, it's from Black Isle Studios. Feargus Urquhart (president of BIS) once said that a sequal to PST is on his wishlist and that the first one sold a lot better than most people think.

1. BG series
2.Fallout series
3Arcanum (single game )

I must buy PS:T if it's so popular.
