How safe are the two chests in my hut in old town? Can I place everything in them safely?

the only way your going to lose stuff is if someone beats you up and takes your ore, but other than that i'd keep the stuff on you at the moment, trust me, you'll be pissed off if you don't |

The only reason that I ask is, I chose to fight someone at the Arena, I lost of course, and he took my ore. I was thinking of placing my things in the chest, picking a fight (quest item), losing gracefully, and retreiving my stuff

Whenever you must take a such fight, drop the Ore on the ground, and pick it up after the fight.

You'll lose some ore very time you lose a fight. Sometimes you lose a little, sometime you lose most of it. I had a Rouge lighten my load by 800 ore once.

Drop the Ore.
You can have 15000 Ore, it still looks like one Ore Nugget when you dropped it, and it can be picked up again

Never thought of that...Lefty got me for 960 Ore last night.  I thought the Mercs hated the Rouge guys…after I beat Lefty and then stomped on Rice Lord’s fat ass, someone took me out with a bow. It looked like the arrows came from the Merc up on the outlook platform.

I lured them into the hut, one by one, by standing there in the doorway, smiling, and taking one step back like "hahah, I am inside your house"...
Hey! They screamed, and runned after me... And I ran into the depth of the rice storage... Where I assassinated them in cold cold blood...
Muahahahahahah...
But if you dont beat Lefty Unconcious and then talk to him, telling him that "From now on you shall share your own water", you waste good experience.

I like Lefty...I visit him every time I go to the new camp. I like telling him to hold still while I relieve some stress on his face.
