Here's a pretty good freeware game (non-CRPG)

It's called Deadly Rooms of Death (DROD), and it's located here:

http://www.drod.net/

It's not a CRPG, but should appeal to just about anyone that likes puzzle games. Give this game an hour of your time and you WILL be hooked. Outstanding freeware.

While I'm posting about freeware, here is another one. It's called DX-Ball. It's a breakout style game, and is a permanent fixture on my computers. Make sure to get the original, not DX-Ball 2 which is not freeware.

It's small and even non-gamers enjoy it. I like to load this onto machines I build for other people.

Downloading now.

Not freeware, but on the shareware side for quick relaxation I can recommend Zen Puzzle Garden, available at Lexaloffle Games. They also have "Neko Puzzle", which I haven't tried out yet.

Another relaxing game is Tranquility. Lots of nice, moving forms, colors and sounds.

Good. If you can solve level 15, room 1 South 2 West I will forever be in your debt.

15! I think I'm at the end of level 2, and already played over an hour. And yes, the game is fun!

Btw, the game should also appeal to fans of old school RPGs, because it has a nice dungeon feeling to it, and you are playing a lone sword swinger. Music is good too.

I just noticed it's three hours past bedtime but "I'll just finish this room" before going to bed.
Damn you Sir Markus for posting the link to that cursed game, DROD.
