The secret of the Seekers

Has anyone found who the seekers really are?

Well heres what i think the seekers were once (maybe 30 days ago)
people from the sect camp Cor Angar and Lester are complaining something that Beliar calls them and everyone else turned into seekers who i think are novices of the black mage. The black mage is probably resurrected Cor Calom (Im sure that Beliar resurrected him).
Xardas (or Pyrokar) told that the seekers are turning into shadows and gaining power. Gaining power is true in chapther 3 they attack you with firearrow, 4 and ... with fireball. Turning into shadows might be true cus i stripped one in marvin mode it was still a human but with grey hair the armor that he was wearing was quite crappy 50/50/?/?

Write what you think about the Seekers too.

They're all partying on a secluded island swarming with beautiful Sirens

Darkside yoking partyng lol

Watermages sailed away to find why the barrier in gothic 1 was so big they wanted to make it quite small but something disturbed the magic and the barrier was 5 times bigger then it should have been and now they are looking for reasons.

I doubt that, remember it was the sleepers presence that disrupted the barrier creation. They find out about that in chapter 5 of gothic 1.

Re: The secret of the Seekers

You know, I was thinking the exact same thing. As I progressed in the game, I kept thinking, "How come no one from the Swamp Camp has shown up other than Lester?" Where were the Baals, Cor-xx, etc. Then I figured that perhaps the seekers were swamp camp novices who had been swayed by the enemy. Lester said that "everyone lost their mind" in his camp when the barrier went down.

Of course, later on you do find someone else from the swamp camp, but thats still just 2 people when the other camps had a much higher G2 representation

I dont know what the real answer is but the theory about the ex-sect campers being changed into seekers makes a lot of sense.
* They all went mad and lost their guidance/focus after the sleeper died
* None of them could be found after the barrier went down and the 2 we ever see are complaining from headaches right from we meet them
* Black Magician = Cor Kalom: Thats a very good catch, they do have the same character features, and he was the leader of the crazy sects from G1
* If the unnamed hero could be resurrected by a human mage then for the Undead Dragon to do it would be cake, imo

This is a good topic, Ive been wondering about the sect-loonies for a while now. I cant believe how big that damn orc wall spans, its like the great wall of china

Question about the Seekers... What happens when they "catch" you and the screen goes all funny for a little bit? And I assume whatever it is it is bad so I'm avoiding them at all costs but I did find out that if they are in attack mode that wont happen so I just hit them once with the crossbow and then attack. Soooo, what are the consequenses of getting caught and is it required to get caught as part of the plot or can you avoid it like I'm trying to? Thanks in advance

heretivic: when the seekers spot you and the screen goes redsmoky then it means that you get posessed and that if you go to sleep you'll get nightmares. if this is the thing that happens to you go to pyrokar and you can buy a 2 potions of 'release of posession' for 300 GP. drink it and no more nightmares.

ps: i don't know the side affects over longtime posession.

Ahhh, I knew there had to be something bad about having black hooded scary guys with ghostly voices tell me I was in their trap. Now I know...avoid contact! Thank you
