O.k afireinside,
First you should have a lookin your Gothic2\system\Gothic.ini for the line:--
GameAbnormalExit, if it is different from O then you have had a crash or external termination, so:-
After you have unzipped VDFSinit.zip, put the VDFS32e.exe file in your
[GOTHIC2]\System\.(override/replace existing file)
Then start the game as you would normally, this can take quite a while and you could be fooled into thinking that nothing is happening but in fact the whole sysem file/s is being rebuilt.
Fingers crossed, come back if "no luck" _________________ Forever aches my wretched soul, for Chromanin locked in that dark hole, though crypted key i've yet to learn, he knows one day i will return. |

one last time, heres what i did. i went to http://www.bendlins.de/nico/ and downloaded the VdfsInit.zip
once i got that i put it in my c:program files-atari-jowuod (or whatever)-gothic 2- system folder. i went to check the system folder and in it there are alot of icons, then 2 different vdfs32e icons that look like microchips, i believe one of them is english and one is german. i went to click one one of them and an error pops up that says, "this application has failed to start because Vdfs32e.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem."
so i reinstalled, and the same thing happens. what must i do?? _________________ all must die |

Ok right click on start then go to explore. Look for Program files on the list of files. After you have opened that look for Atari which has all of your G2 files stored in it. Then do what he said. _________________ It itches, it seeves, it festers, it breaths, my heroes are dead they died in my head, give out the hurt, squeeze out the pain something inside of me has opened up again. |
