I'd like to try this game out with a demo but there doesn't seem to be one.
Does anyone know if one might be released any time soon?
Thanks |

I doubt it... I think it would be too complex to build a demo, otherwise they would have done it by now.
NWN is a good game if you want to play with the multiplayer side of it. Not that the single player experience isn't good, but in my opinion it's not great either. The multiplayer really shines when with a good bunch. There's great value with it too since there are player made mods freely available everywhere now, so it's still a very good buy even if you're not into multiplayer. If you liked Baldur's Gate 2, you might like it still, to a lesser degree.
Hope it helps you. You might want to check EverythingXen's very thorough review here on RPGdot as well to give you an idea. The link follows:

Thank you very much Ekim
I will check out that review and see what it tells me.
Never played BG2 but I did play BG1, I liked it but the isometric view turns me off after a while.
Having said that, NWN looks different somehow. More crisp and shiny.
And I think you can rotate the camera and zoom in/out, that would help me greatly
Anyways, thanks again for your quick reply. I might take a chance and just buy the game. |

No problem
Just one thing: NWN certainly doesn't look anything like the BG games. But it feels like them. You get this instant feeling in the very early moments that you're in a familiar game, which is a good thing. Everything traspires BG in the tone. I'm talking about the Single Player adventure by the way. As soon as you delve deeper in the MP it's a totally different story.
In any case I can only say that NWN is a terrific buy, one of these games that will stay on your hard drive quite a long time - IF you play online with it. _________________ =Proud Father of a new gamer GIRL!=
