I can't for the life of me find the area described for that special hammer. I've marched all over the woods, all over the area by the orc graveyard, even been to where you find the first focus... I haven't even seen any bloodhounds :/

You will find it, you have to climb a mountain towards a fort, then cross a bridge and in a cave is the hammer, which btw you can buy at the new camp the God Hammer does the same job Jem.. you might wanna stick that in your FAQ

You have passed the first bridge and try to search there. Walk back and ignore the first bridge, walk up the slope instead, passing through Reptiles.
Take the 'cliffedge' to the right... As soon as you meet Blood Hounds you know that you are on your right path.

Infact Orun's Hammer is even much better..

The trader was the boy in the New Camp near lares hut, forgot his name he sells a Orc Hammer also, so in a way you can get rid of the first orc hammer, I used orun's hammer to take out the golem in 2 hits, so it is a better hitter

Wow...

Thats one good walkthrough.
I like the style, comments, etc. Especially like the ASCII drawings of books etc.

I found that you do not need to use any skill points for thief at all. Fingers will consider your stealing the recipe for Dexter an increase in thiefing abiltiy. I have opened every chest I have come across without any lockpick skills. As for jumping I have found I can used a bloodfly scroll on occasion to get access to higher places. I made it all the way to the top of the broken down tower close to Castle Mountain where it goes down into orc territory.
