Abosutely true, by the time I got my english GothicII, I had read so much about it in german magazines and such that I knew the whole sory, and which old friends would return etc. wasn't that funny because it took away some nice suprises.

Hey cool down! The most info from gothic is in the official forum of gothic 3.
If you don't know: www.gothic3.com a lot of screenshots and music and video. But if this isn't enough use a search program. It helped me too. I'm hungarian, so i think you don't understand it. But you can do it like this. (only in your language.)
I typed: gothic 3 képek és videók = gothic 3 screenshots and videos
(i used chello to find it, i'm sure there is an american chello webpage)
But i tried it only hungarian, I'm not sure this will work in american

i used to try avoiding stuff, but then since its quite hard avoiding them anyway, i put together the fact that the game release has always been delayed so far, so when i finally got the game i had forgotten most of the spoilers

hehe, serves to have a bad memory in this case

Yup, problem is, I will check Gothic3.com, worldofgothic.com and rgpdot.com every single day till the game is released(I have for the past months, and will in the future too), so I'm not going to forget anything soon. I just hope we get panorama screens soon, like we did for G2 - they were great!

WoG posted a rip of a TV show with a few minutes about G3. Nothing really new in it, though. Some footage was shot during the sound track recordings. I have to go through it frame by frame - maybe I´m in it somewhere.

To get back on the very first post:

I'm not avoiding screenshots. Actually, there isn't much to avoid right now. They are very sparse with info. They keep us quiet with a christmas-competition, but news about Gothic 3, no way.

Gorath: Are the maps new? I haven't seen them before anyway. Not really sure what they are supposed to be a map over though, it's some part of the G3 world of course, but exactly what we're seeing is beyond me. "Ork something" must be the orcish lands, but that's pretty much all I can get out of it.

Yes, it seems the maps are new. WoG has some German discussion about them.
