Hi!
PB said now official that the Screens are from the Sequel!
So 1) there will be a Sequel and
2) the Screens from Gothic 2 will be much better

Xandrius refered to something which _was_ common understanding on the German fan sites:
-an AddOn was announced and then cancelled
-a sequel was announced instead of an AddOn
-the people at the fan sites were sure that the sequel will be based on the Gothic 1 engine.
-Gothic 2 was thought to have a completely new engine.
Maybe some of these thoughts have to be reevaluated now. :wink:

So i was right when i said those screens weren't from gothic 2.  Although i wouldn't mind them to use the same engine for part 2. |

Please trust me, the Screens have been stolen from by some unknown guys and even PB does not know how it could happen!
So PB officially now released the screens as the first screens of Sequel. This information is based on the Gothic fanpage http://www.worldofgothic.de, so this info they got directly!!! from PB!

I know how you meant it, but please note that in the English language community and on all English language game-related web sites Gothic 2 is the sequel to Gothic 1, in contrast to the understanding of WoG.
So the screenshots are from Gothic 2 ( = the sequel). Somebody outside of PB (source: Waldgeist, gomp forum) gave them to this czech site.
I tried to sort all this in my two newsbits on GothicDot earlier today.
Anonymous said something that would have gotten him banned if he had registered.

Why do they call the addon Gothic 2?
Or why do the PB call in Germany the addon Sequel and in other countries Gothic 2 ??
