Gothic not like you to change the controls?

Trying to change the controls to my liking a bit.
Whenever i first change the keys the controls menu does it right.

(like if i try to change the turn left/right to keys A and S then it will take the A and S keys away from strafe)

But after i leave the menu and get back in game the controls go back to what they were PLUS what i put them at. This makes the keys conflict.

It's also very annoying because no matter what you do it does it.

What do you have to do to get it to SAVE the controls YOU want?

I had a similar problem with the move forward/move back keys.

Just get into the keyboard options again, and before you change the key, use the [DELETE] button to remove all keys bound to that command. Then when you change the command to the key you want, it should work. Verify this by going right back into the keyboard options again.
