My apologies on behalf of the kiddies that derailed your original question. I never picked up the expansions so hopefully one of our resident experts will be able to step up for you. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

The unpenetrable darkness in this room is a known bug which is either connected to the type of video card or the driver, not sure which since the error didn't occur in my games.
Anyway, you need to pull the right lever when the machine starts making a fabricant (makes noises etc.): the right switch opens the back door of the container, and the front door will open automatically when the Fabricant comes out. Fight it and move on through the container. _________________ Is that clear?

Hi again,
note that as Imago Storm said, there should be normal darkness and all the things we suggested in other thread should work.
The bug you encountered (I didn't) can be fixed (hopefully) this way:
"nif for the fog needs to be set to 1.0 in the editor in order to solve the problem"
