You donīt kill him. Ram the 5 swords into his pedestal. Then you should see the end sequence.

Yeah...there are 5 pedestals surrounding the Sleeper, each holding a heart of one of the undead shammans. Pierce each of the five swords through each of the hearts.

A demon will appear after each piercing. But after the last one... something big happens, then the game ends. Good Luck!

I'll be tied up in the chair at the end of Gothic II , so if I fall down - with the chair.

Yeah... those bastards cunningly and deviously designed the ending so you'd fall off your chair and yearn and pull out your hair in anticipation of a sequel.

Noo!

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! You mean the game ends with the completion of the orc temple! AHH! You suck! Now I know its gonna end! NOOO! What about the big announcement in the old camp about my making a bet for the fight in the arena? What are all the coins for that I've gathered throughout the game? What do I do with the messanger from the mage of water amulet. Why does it say the highest I can train my skills in weaponry is 10 percent?? So the game ends at the end of chapter 5?? There are only 5 chapters?? NOOOO!!!!!!!!! *bang* I just exploded... gimme a 5 minute bathroom break!

Actually, it's six chapters.
No arena fights. Sorry.
Coins? Well, you can throw them down a well and make a wish.
That amulet gives you access to the inner courtyard of the Old Camp so you can deliver both the water mage letter and the original letter you were thrown in with.
You can only get up to 10% chance of criticals with one-handed and two-handed weapons.

Anyone know any other great games like Gothic I can play until the release of Gothic 2? I think I tried Arcanum... if I remember correctly the graphics were so poor that I was sure I had played a pac man game 10 years ago with far better graphics... I returned it the day after I bought it... I could be thinking of a different game though. The last 5 games I've beat were: Dungeon Siege, Black & White, Warcraft 3, Medal of Honer, and Gothic 1... Gothic is by far the best. Its also very different from the rest.

If you like RPG's, you can go with NeverWinter Nights, a fairly new release that has an excellent bird's eye/3rd person single player story, and team centred multiplayer.

I would also recommend Jedi Knight II, if it were a month and a half ago. The single player of that game is lots of fun, but the multiplayer has been seriously "nerfed" since the release of patch 1.04.
