Large amounts of industrial dumping into the water, like with the Kahoka (sp?) river in Cleveland Ohio. Its really the pollution floating on top of the water, do to being more dense, that burns not the water itself.

People exaggerate out of a need to feel liked, and because it can make a better story. Ever see the movie ‘Big Fish’, I highly recommend it.

Why do people expect their mail to be delivered in the middle of a freaking hurricane? Hello! What part of mandatory evacuation did you not understand?! My faith in humanity's intelligence has been sorely tried today.

Hey reporters are out in it, though according to the lady on CNN the shards of glass flying through the air in the 125mph winds is dangerous. Good thing she said so, I’d hate to think that people watching shards of glass and chunks of metal fly by their windows wouldn’t realize the danger and thus tell their kids to ‘turn off that damn TV and go play outside.’
Oh and on a side note, sending all those reporters out into the storm doesn’t make me think their coverage is great, it just makes me think that they, and the bosses making them do it, are morons.
A quote from CNN a few minutes ago, “look how dangerous it is out here, and this is only the car port of the hotel. Let’s go outside and show you what it’s like out there.” I laughed when the wind blew him off his feet and he landed on his face.
Why won’t those reporters just tell their bosses “No!”?
And by the way, I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow and I still haven’t gotten my insurance card I was suppose to get a week ago. So where is my mail, Val? If it doesn’t come in the mail today then I am holding you personally responsible. |
