A different Fallout 1 question

Hey all, I'm coincidentally playing Fallout at the same time as Rawis, it seems, so I'm making sure to NOT read that other thread (I read the first couple of replies and it seems like Rawis is ahead of me ).

Anyway, I have a question about MacRae, the trainer guy who is guarding the door to the Blades compound in the Boneyard. I completed the bloody Blade quest to retake the Boneyard (vanquishing those murderous Regulators), and MacRae says he can finally train me. But when we're done with training, I could not find a single statistic or skill or anything that has been changed! It says that I learned "new fighting stances" or something of the sort, and that I learned how to take blows better. Yet none of my numbers have changed (one would think Unarmed combat or something would improve)...

Is this a bug, or did he improve something that is not quantified in the character screen?

Hey, I'm playing Fallout too.....actually I beat Fallout and have moved on to Fallout 2. Now, I believe MacRae gives you a H2H perk or extra melee damage...at least that's what he gave me. Check your melee damage and see if it increased.

Now, I can use this thread to ask a question that I wanted to know.

In Fallout 2 - I'm addicted to Jet, how do I get rid of my addiction? I hope I'm not going to be an addict for the rest of my life.

Thanks in advance.

about Jet

I think the only cure to jet comes much later in the game.

Hey thanks for the reply... My melee damage did not increase (it's still at 1), and I did not get any extra perks...

Is my version just whacked up or something?

Yes, the jet cure comes later on. Make sure you talk to every doctor in every town for hints. Especially after talking to Jet's creator. If your character is smart enough, you'll find the cure.

i was never addicted to drugs in Fallout, but you can find the creator of jet, talk with the jet-controlling "family" in New Reno, their first job leads to this guy.

... it is all about Brahmin Shit or something

Basically, unless you want to kill every junky in the game to take their jet from them, reload to before you were addicted. Jet addiction is a killer.

Yeah, Myron's a part of my party......why? Good question. Only thing he likes to do is cuss me out.

@Wind

It could be a bug.
