I finished a dragon hunter at level 34, I think. The decision not to kill all the minions in chapter 2 and 4 cost me a few levels but made the game harder.

paladin level 40
I did kill all the orcs but only beat up a couple of people concerned with specific quests. Also pickpocketed everyone even though for some it said it would be extremely difficult.
One of the quests was to open the gate on the castle which I thought was safe as I had put a lot of effort in clearing all orcs. However, I was taken by surprise because an amazing battle then took place between orcs, paladins, men at arms and dragonhunters.
There were a lot of knights down by the harbour that I did not attack. Could I have beat up all the civilians too?

Man…the gate scene…it took a long tome to get over that one. I don’t know why but it made me feel bad. I’m going to the island tonight and I a lvl 40.

I know what you mean. If it wasn’t for Percival I might have let them all live. Before I left the valley for good I was knee deep in Paladin blood…I am a Merc after all!

yes you do need it unless you feel like beating up that guard and getting the whole castle on your case
but i cant tell you where to learn it, sorry |
