Is fog tower optional or is there some quest linked to it?

Gorath told us that there is a quest that you find from a book inside the tower.

He said that the book will give you one clue, then you have to use this clue to find the next book. And so on. He said that there are six books in total.

The quest is optional.

@Gorath - Oh, how many did you say there were?

The first book is on a Skeleton Mage inside the Fog Tower.

The clue is real simple to solve.
I'm still struggling with the second clue.

I donīt remember how many books. 6 or 7.

Whatīs the 2nd clue? Something parts for a short time and then unites again?
Get yourself a map and scan the area close to the OC.
