2002 - the golden year for rpgs ? |
|
I have played Wizardry 8, Morrowind, Arx Fatalis this year, i am at the beginning of Devine Devinity, and i am waiting for Gothic 2 and Lionheart.
For me 2002 is a *golden* rpg-year . ( and there are still some month to go) _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild= |

I think I will be unable to play most of them, due to computer limitations (I'm playing Wiz 8 currently, and I think my comp can handle Lionheart). So 2002 is the corroded iron year of RPGs for me

I can handle the hardware, but I have no time to play games! Looks like I'll be playing them all when I hit 70 or something. I mean, is it normal to wish for a debilitating accident to be able to play more games? _________________ Don't force it - use a larger hammer.

Wiz8 was a 2001 release. OTOH, if you open up your timeframe a bit, you can include BG2, Gothic1, and (for the non-purists) Diablo2. I think your point is valid, though- it's a good time to be an RPGer _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

Wizardry 8 was a 2002 game for me, because it is still (!) not sold in the major shops here in germany. i was searching 2 month to find a game- shop in my neighbourhood that imported the game for me.
BTW - if you live in the "Ruhrgebiet" here is the shop's web-site:

There's one coming out soon that I'm really looking forward to called Republic: The Revolution. It's listed as a strategy game, but it sounds more like an RPG to me. |

When I read the preview in a Swedish gamepaper thet made it sound like a strategy game where you kill others if you canīt win. Sounds good. =) _________________ There once was a youngster, DzD

Well in Gothic if someone won't help you, you kill them. Or at least I did. |

Thanks gor reminding me, Iīll have to take a look at it again to see if I still have interest left to buy it. There is coming some good-looking games in september, october and november. _________________ There once was a youngster, DzD
