i translate the "gothic 2 cheat list":
Gothic.ini
Over the gothic. ini in the index "system" of the Gothic 2-file numerous modifications can be undertaken. Among other things a Quicksave can be activated or can be increased or sunk the depiction of violence.
Cheats
The Cheatmodus is to be called similarly in Gothic 1. To call pressures as the first B around the character screen and subsequently Marvin (simply enter - also if one do nothing see can!) One returns should stand now again into the game, at the upper screen edge Marvin fashion. From this moment, following Cheats are activated:
F2 opens play fix freely move diminish receive change the console (see below)
F3 game in the window
F4 standard mode

Console Cheats (thanks at Marvin4ever) over the console mentioned above are numerous further Cheats possible. So one can following objects herbeicheaten with insert X whereby X is replaced by one of the following shorthand symbols:

It is the same as Gothic 1. Press B to bring up your status screen, type in MARVIN and you are in MARVIN mode. Gothic2.ini has setting for hotkeys to enable, quick saves, H and F? Key for mana and health potions (same as demo?), option for violence level, option to Randomize the key lock codes to stop yourself from cheating to open chest without lockpick skill. It is not on by default. I think it should have been and can be activated. A real gamer would have the lock combination randomized on each reload by enabling that feature. I think he said the cheat list can be found at Marvin4ever website.

If you can read 'Marvin Mode' top left then it worked.
The developer mode is still the same, only the name (items, NPCs, etc.) have changed. Check out our Gothic cheat guide for details.

Marvin4ever is not a website but a Net name person.
I believe you must 'enable' cheating in the gothic2.ini file for cheats to work.

(Simply entering MARVIN does not work)***
It seems he was translating an original cheat list written in German. I do not know; that is my best guess. BMarvin?
EDIT: I see Gorath already explained it, must be a time delay in posting.
