Gothic 3: Ask the Developers - First Answers

The first set of Gothic 3 answers from Kai Rosenkrantz in Ask the Developers on the JoWood forums is now up. Nothing revolutionary so far but there's still a lot of questions waiting to be answered; here's an excerpt:
That Lee will play an important character is already known, but which role will the friends of the Hero –Gorn, Milten Vatras (it is out of the question that they will reappear) play in the story ? by Peter Pollunder

Each of the crew members, with whom the player arrives in Myrthana, is an important part of the story. Especially the four friends of the Hero - Lester, Gorn, Milten and Diego - will accompany him through several adventures from time to time. If and how far the Hero will challenge the defiances together with them is up to the player, but the occasional joy of being reunited again is planned as part of the story.
Thanks Kwish!

"When we reach an advanced beta phase this question can be answered more concretely"

So far the most intresting thing, at least they are somewhere in Beta now, that is offical

Also, does it seem like he doged the question about controls?
I noticed he did not say, Yes you can use Gothic 1 controls if you want, but you can also you our new updated. (or whatever)
I know alot of people perfer the old style Gothic controls, sure could annoy some fans if they elimnate them all together.
There is an absolute need to offer more choices over the orginal controls, for the 50% increase of fans that it will likely bring, but that seems odd to me.

Anyone ?

It´s another hint that the new controls are the primary choice while the classic controls are more a service for the community. This is understandable after all the flak they´ve taken for them in the past.

@ Dhruin

It's Rosenkranz and not Rosenkrantz

Oh, i never liked the new controls very much. I always used the old control system because after finishing Gothic it became second nature.

I especially like this:

Will we meet more pacific animals like sheeps in Gothic 2 ? by DeadlyArrow

Yes, absolutely. From butterflies over sheeps to screen-filling (if you stand right in front of it) animals you will find a huge variety of decorative fauna in the world of Gothic 3.

This means that even after cleaning out the world for XP, the world is still filled with living creatures.

So heben wir uns die größten Knaller bis zum Schluss auf

Something worth mentioning. Acropolis, moderator on the German JoWooD forums said this.
Translation:
There are several criteria, at which we choose the questions. I won't mention any of these to prevent abuse, but we certainly don't ask PB random questions. Furthermore there will enough question with a higt spoiler-level. There's a certain weight in the order in which the questions are asked. In this way we can postpone the big bang till the end.

The only real question I care about, is WILL IT BE RELEASED IN AUSTRALIA!! And of course if so, WHEN!! Usually 6 months later doesn't appeal!!
