playing arxfatalis but when trying to use magic nothing happens when i cast spells.any help please |

Ask your question in the Arx forum, and I'm sure you'll get plenty of help. I haven't played the game, so I'm afraid I can't help you directly.

Welcome Slammer to the Dot. See someone moved this for you. As for casting, a few questions. Are you playing pc or xbox? Did you get the runes and place them in the spell book for the spell you are trying to cast? Are you casting a spell for the level character you are right now?
I can tell you for pc, you have to select the spell from you book, once the runes are placed. A set of rune symbols for the spell appear in the upper right hand cornor of your screen, one for each rune you must draw for the spell.
Then click on the rune to see how to do it. Hold ctrl key, and then hold left mouse button to draw that rune. (Cont. to hold ctrl key for the whole spell. If you let up it will start all over.) If you have done it right, the symbol of it in the upper right cornor of your screen will light up now. Once all the needed runes are drawn, aim at your target, and let go of ctrlkey. For a detail of how to do it for xbox go to the arx fatalis hosted site here at the dot and look for support files and then pdf file for xbox. If has a detail of how the xbox contrls work. Please tell us "How" (your steps) you "USE MAGIC"...as soon as I Hold the "Ctrl"...a Hand pops up for me to Draw the Symbols in the sky, then just let go of the Ctrl button. you have to draw at least 2 symbols, that make up a Spell. |

kbagdon, you have to hold Ctrl until you draw all the runes to make the spell. Then point at your target for the spell, then let go of ctrl to fire the spell. Other than making that a little clearer, I said all my steps in the previous post. If this is still not clear, you post your method step by step and we can see what may be going wrong.
