Sorry Danicek, that was meant to be funny. In "The Princess Bride" Wesley always responds to Buttercup with "As you wish...".

It can mean many things...one of which "if that is the way it is, it is okay" with overtones of sorrow that that is the way it is.

How's THAT for a confused sentance?

You should read the book, it is a LOL book. I am not sure if it is available in German (correct language? I am guessing.) but if it is you should hunt up a copy.

The movie is also very funny and a good show, but I would read the book first. The written version is almost always better.

No, my native language is Czech language. But I can read in German as well as in English without problems (I read many books in these two languages).

Oops, I did not know there is a Czech Language...I hope you will forgive my ignorance! Anyway, find the Princess Bride and read it, it is well worth the walk to the Library.

PS – I did not know that Mayan is an active language either. I had to go to the Yucatan to discover that for some people all they speak is Mayan.
So I guess I don't know as much about languages as I though I did
