ok i played gothic, i loved it. now i have gothic II. i decided to do the same as i did last time. skip doing stuff at the main town, and just go to the mercinaries. but i think i may have made a mistake. just looking for your imput. i did the test. but i need to prove it too more mercs. i tried dueling them, im not doing too bad. then out of no where they kill me in one hit. ive tried and tried i cant even get them to half. should i just go back to the main town? also, i want to mainly use bows/crossbows, but for now what should i put my points in, i allready put ten into str. |

You don't have to challenge anybody except Buster.
Just get 30 strength before talking to Rod about wielding his blade, talk to Cipher and solve his quest about the weed, talk to Wolf, challenge Buster, and do the quest for Torlof. |

There is a guy there called Jarvis. He askes You to beat up 5 Sylvio`s men. It`s enough to do that with 3 but all 5 will give You more exp. Before Bullko talk to Thelma? (she runs dining on the Farm) and man that takes care of sheeps. They have something against Bullko. One that was smoking on the side (Dar?) challenged me in chapter 4 or 5 (I was paladin). You can`t use range weapons in duels on the farm. You do they will attack You. To use ranged agility is needed and then training in bows and crossbows. |

You can also learn some 1 or 2 handed fighting and talk to the guy practicing with his sword right of Onar's house.
