new sweet Action-Adventure-RPG "Joshua" (no 56k!!)

coming soon: Joshua - The Seals of Darkness from the developers of "Zanzarah" (beautiful 3D fantasy RPG/adventure)

some screenshots:

Story:

The life of our hero Joshua changes the day when is older sister Chava doesn't return from one of her expeditions. Joshua starts the search for Chava. He gets into a world full of dangers which is threatened by a dark Power, seeming to be dedicated to the decline.

I think this game is for RPG-fans who dont want to rack with tons of statistics. Sounds good for me. Im definitely looking forward to play this game.

Your thoughts?

If you really want my opinion, I think this game will be another overrated console-ized RPG.

and what's so bad about console-ized RPGs??
i think this game is sweet... the characters are so cute with the wooden sword and the little girl with the bow in her hands... twee!

I was just going to say "Woah, this looks a lot like Zanzarah", and then I read the description. I like it already.

Regarding the wooden sword - hey, everyone has to start somewhere, right?

Are you sure Joshua has RPG elements? I thought it´s an action adventure.

The screenshots are 6 months old. I read they were just snapshots to illustrate the concept.

lets say it's an action adventure with RPG elements. You'll find better weapons, equipment, items etc. and you'll have many quests with a sweet story in an impressive fantasy world. Isn't that enough roleplay?

but the combat will be more action-oriented.

The graphics look nice, kind of reminds me of Fable, which I think will change the way RPG's are done for good.

I'm getting real tired of dumping $50 into a game im only going to play a few times, and then store away on my self to collect dust. I'm ready for RPG's that offer endless replay value.

Don´t forget that a similar reaction can be observed before every new Peter Molyneux game.

This is a matter of taste. Many people neither have the time nor the desire to play games more than once.

Do you have a source for this? I visited the Funatics forum a few hours before you opened this thread. No relevant infos were available.

If Joshua has RPG elements we have to create a DB entry for it.

Auch nicht bekannt ist, um welches Genre es sich definitiv bei Joshua handelt.
-

Sounds like the article writer isn't sure about the genre either...
