Problem installing Dndr

Ive finally gotten my second hand copy of die nacht Des Raben only to find i cant install it.
I have renamed the appropriate files and replaced the .exe with the latest german 1..But when i try to install it i get asked (not sure since its in german)
for the original Dndr cd.
Both Gothic2 and Dndr are original.
My cdrom is an ancient 12x so i figured that was the problem.. Ive tried 2 install it from my hd and also made an image that i mounted in Daemon, but the same thing happens... any1 have an idea what could be wrong?

I have WinXp and have all the latest drivers\ updates.

My specs:
A7n8x-D mobo (Nforce2)
Barton 2500
3x 256 Kingston HyperX.
Radeon9800pro

A typical copy protection problem. Can be caused by everything, from outdated drivers through incompatible drives to untolerated programs in the background (Daemon Tools, virus scanner, firewall, spyware, etc.).

But if you have the english version it would be better that you install that one.
