How many levels of pickpocketing?

I don't do pickpocketing in any game. People will just tend to reload a save game if they fail anyway, so it all seems rather meaningless to have such a feature at all.

if you use your notion of "just reload" that would make say lockpicking useless, different choices in chat useless, making choices useless. If you make a mistake, do you just reload ? i think it ruins a part of the game if you do that

Yes, indeed. Reload can ruin many things.

But from my observations over time, I've noticed from other people who play games that pickpocketing failures is usually immediately followed up by mindless reloads, and they don't ever put 2+2 together and realize how meaningless their actions are.
