| wondering if this is normal |

when i started the game i talked to the guy that wants to sell me the pass, i didnt want it cuz i thought he was scamming me, when i got to the gates i couldnt get in so i went back got it from him and was on my way, then his favor came in so i framed the women she went to jail and i thought my ties with him were through. but of course of no reason he said i didnt do wut he asked and made me pay him 500 gold neway for my credability. should that of happened? |

Based on what you did, yes. If you go to the farm on the right of where the guy is sitting, you can work for the farmer, and a few others on the farm, and then buy clothing and learn what to say to get into the city from them as well. If you are no farther than this I would start over and do the farm stuff to gain entrance to city. It will be easier and you keep your money. Then in city, you talk to the guy, but put him in jail instead. I won't say how. Just save in lots of slots so you can back track every decision you make and change your mind later if you want to.

well i passed all that and beat the game but if i start over ill do that, only thing im wondering is how come he made me pay even though i did wut he wanted everytime? |

You must frame Sarah in 1 or 2 days time from when he tells you to.Maybe you frames her later and this is why you have to pay the penalty.

You can avoid the whole situation if you steal farmer clothes from Lobard before buying the pan from Canthar. Then put the clothes back in the crate and later buy them. Just be careful Lobard doesn´t see you.

Come on guys...do it the way the one would do it...Buy the clothes...buy the pass....then kill everyone so there are no witnesses that you came from the mounts...lots of experience....lots of gold...everyone's happy

Yeah! And thus avoid quests for easy EXP in later chapters (3+).

go around the city, and go tot he lighthouse... if you can kill the bandits, do it if not. then try to avoid them. stand on the big clif, and jump in the water. you can get on land at the docks.

u dont even have to do that, just go a bit to the right of the guards and u can jump over the wall.
