I did it my self and it was easy to do, Start by killing and doing everything in ch 1, then you will be on about level 18 train up to be a fighter in whatever way you want. I did it with 2h and dragonslicer but towards the end you never need the weapons at all.

I did it somewhat. I went fairly far in chapter 1 before I turned Mage. I basically did a save game just before becoming a Mage that I could pick up and become an Merc or a Soldier, not replay the beginning. Since I was trying to stay balanced I actually loaded up a bit on strength and dexterity, and I stuck to one handed weapons. There is a fairly nice one handed sword that comes along that is dexterity based, not strength based. The dexterity also helped with the crossbow, and with other talents required for the thieves group. Even after becoming a Mage I continued to fight using swords and crossbows to save my mana for stronger opponents. As Graham said though, by the end I didn't need the fighting any more, being a Mage was plenty.

Oh be sure to load up as much as possible on your fighting skills prior to becoming a Mage, once you do, they cost double the skill points.

I did the same. I prefer the two-hander because it's stronger, so if you want to became a real good fighter I just want the strongest weapon too.

what about the militia and merc.? would U recomend useing twoanders ther 2?
and about that "Dragonslicer" when and wher do i get that? the only god wapon i hound is a Orcslayer or somthing with 60 to 60 in damage and need of str. How powerfull is the dragonslicer? and how mutch str. dos it need?
and by the way what is the best two and one handed wapons availebel?
(ow that was a lot of questions ther )

It's more fun to play a mage without ever using a weapon.

The dragon slicer can be found near the circle of the sun in a cave guarded by 3 skeletons and 2 shadow warriors, it's possible to get it in chapter 1 but it's stupidly difficult because shadow warriors kill you in 2 - 3 hits. It does 80 damage and needs 80 stregnth to use it's the best two hander excluding the "magic" swords and the orc slayer or tortures axe are the best 1 handers again excluding the "magic" swords.

re: fighter-mage

It rocks.

Furthermore, it makes more sense. Think about this. If your mage hero only knows magics, he wouldn't have been chosen to fight evils since there are more powerful mages than he's( such as Pyrocar, Zardas, Vatras or even Milton ).

The will of Innos is unfathomable. Of all the people in the world, he chose not a paladin, not a dragonhunter, not a high mage, he chose you. So it must be something else than just the way you handle your sword.

(Maybe he just likes your hair )

I don't think it was Beliar's intention to let Xardas take the powers of the Undead Dragon. I think Xardas was handling on his own, and just wanted the enormous power

Ya I agree he did in on his own without Beliars intent to have him take the Undead Dragons powers. Maybe he freed its soul or did recieve its powers, but im not really up to date on all of the stuff, but thats my opinion.
