Ok, I had to try this out, and I was sucessful...

By only killing monsters I HAD to kill

* Monsters on the way to Old Camp
* Molerats Guarding Nek's Body
* Monsters on the way to the Free Mine
* Bloodflies that harrass the Harvesters in the Swamp

And by founding Gilbert the Eremite

I reached Level 5! It is possible, to reach about 7000 experience by just solving all the quests in the three camps, wich is nearly enough to reach Level 6... =)

It is also possible to reach so far, without using up a single experience point!

Now I have a save in wich I havnt used a single experience point, and have Level 5 / can join all camps. (50 Skillpoints )

Quests that was absolutely impossible to solve:
Killing the Dam Lurker
Beating up Shrieke

And ofcourse, since I didnt used up any experience, I couldnt impress Fingers.

Whatever, Sneaking/Pickpocketing/Lockpicking is useless anyway...

Best Regards
JemyM

Ok, I experimented a bit more...

By using the +5 dexterity ring, and the +5 mordrags ring, I could take out both the Dam Lurker, Shrike & Lefty, thus solving every quest possible. =)

With that, I reached Level 6!

Dam Lurker is easy...
I had it killed while I was still in level 3, without cheating.

The point is - I killed him without putting a single point in any skill or attribute. =)

Without cheating ofcourse...

Update... I have now also defeated Grim & Herek plus the two diggers outside the camp, still without boosting in stats...

And I have picklocked all the chests in all the camps...

I think I should pack this save up and upload it somewhere, since its a very useful save to whomever like to replay the game without having to do all the boring stuff again (since i havnt used a single skillpoint I have 60 skillpoints to use).

Best Regards
JemyM

No skills or stats increase.
Yeah, that's not a problem.
All you have to do is lure it to some mercenaries in new camp. They'll kill it for free. And then you just take whatever's on the dead thing and then go talk to Homer (name?). Hahaha you should see all those peasants running for their lives! LOL

Well, Mordrags Ring + +5 Ring and the Bone Bow took the Lurker out before he could say "You taste like grilled meat"

Hi,
is at possible to take the blacksmith +5 strength (quest in the NC), if you already have 100 strength? So, after this quest you have 105 strength.

Jeremy, I'd definately be interested in a copy of your saved game p.s where did you find the Bone Bow as I have not seen one about, thanks.

Ok, I think I can pack it up and send it to the sites... =)

Enter the Mine, walk down to the melt-oven
(with the working Orc Slave).
Here you have two caves leading to minecrawlers. Lure the crawlers
in the left cave into the workers area, and they will be quickly killed
by the guards & templars. You wont get your experience for them by
doing this, but its worth it.
Walk into that cave, search, and you will find what you need.
The bone bow lies next to a skeleton in the bottom. To reach
the ring, climb the ladders.
With this "bone bow" early in the game you can advance in
levels very quickly. The bow requires 18 in dexterity, wich you should
have by now if you followed my earlier tips.
* WARNING *
Be VERY sure that none of the templars OR named NPC's die in
this fight. It will make it impossible to finish the game!
* END OF WARNING *

Best Regards
JemyM

2 JemyM
I do the same thing to find a Stone Crusher. I have already the Long Bow from the Lisky from NC (the quest about water). And i kill all minecrollers without loosing the xp from my bow.

If I carry on doing this, I will have some problems with the Mine Crawlers nest, but in my experience with Minecrawlers it is possible to take out many minecrawlers using nothing but a untrained bow with 2x+5 rings (I have bought a second +5 ring). The problem is that I cannot take out the queen with anything but a melee weapon, so I might be screwed there.

Point here. I have accumulated 60 skillpoints by now, and probably more after going through the nest. By that time I can instantly buy skills & attributes for my points, wich will instantly transform me to:
A competent Warrior of the old camp/new camp/sect camp
A competent Ranger of the old camp/new camp/sect camp
A yet unskilled Mage of the old camp (shadow), but enough skill to use the Orc Hammer to take out the Queen (I miss 7 points in strength when using a strength +5 ring). After taking out the queen I have enough points accumulated to instantly reach Circle 4 in magic...

The reason I do this, is to have a savegame that lets me replay the game without doing all the boring stuff.

The stone crusher requires to much strength for my idea. But I will grab the Orc Hammer, that is even better.
