Sorry, but perhaps rather than acting like 10 year olds you could have played the actual game.
I don't know how many times "shit" and "goddamn" have been used within the first 10 hours of gameplay I've put in, but it's been far more than I have seen in any video game to date except Nocturne and the Fallout series.
If you were little 10 years olds waiting for a hard-on in regards to the polygon boobs that you apparently so wanted to see, then I just suggest you get a life....quickly.
From the German version to the English version I have seen no censorship what-so-ever other than the editing of a simple article of clothing that can be easily over-written for your masturbatory pleasure. |

Dude, that's kinda' harsh. Yes, some people were complaining about censorship, but most of those people didn't know exactly what was censored. I am not a fan of censorship, either. I don't think it ruins a game, but it does detract from it. When a game is built for an adult audience, and is then censored to appeal to the parents of younger gamers, that really doesn't satisfy anyone. So yes, some people probably just wanted boobs. The rest of us were simply concerned that content would be cut from the game we'd been looking forward to for countless anxious hours.

Edit: Also, just because a game has swearing in it does not mean that many other things WEREN'T censored.

There was no content cut, and nothing censored other than those polygonal boobs.
The whining was inane and unfounded. I don't recall the game being targeted towards an adult audience, as from what I recall it had a similar rating in Germany. |

Llama dude, from my pont of view, I wasn't looking forward for a porn game, but personally that kinda stuff gives the game a cooler touch and makes it less serious and more enjoyable, but if you don't like it stop playing the game and stop bitching to the guys that would like to see more.

I absolutely have to comply with Llama. Just try to accept it: Nothing has been left out. There seem to be lots of rumors out about peeps using badass language and horny bitches running around Corinnis in the German version. I can assure you, this is not the case. You won't find any language worse than you can hear it in any primary school  . And I can also assure you that there are lots of better ways to server your mastubatory purposes than a polygonal nude chick (she also doesn't wear panties in the german version).

Let's get a grip, people. And put things in perspective. Nobody likes censorship much, but is the 'censorship' in Gothic really enough to get so worked up about? I mean, if they totally deleted characters (this bathtub babe, for instance) then maybe - but the only difference in the versions (from what I've read) is that this NPC had a bikini in the English version, and she was naked in the German one. (sigh) Seems to me, if seeing this is THAT important to an individual - simply edit the game to suit your needs. And - Bingo! An uncensored version. Everybody's happy.
But, threats of VIOLENCE over something like THIS? Good grief. The mind boggles.
