SoU quest: Tomb in the desert

When the halfling caravan has to stop in the desert for water, you strike a deal with the fellow you meet there to banish some evil. He also tells you of a powerful weapon in a nearby tomb.
Now, my question is, how do you solve the puzzle to open the sarcofagus containing the weapon?

BTW, doesn't anyone play this expansion, or is the forum just poorly used?

I stopped playing the SoU campaign before I got to the part you're asking about. Many of the "regulars" at this site are Gothic junkies, so they're all busy playing Gothic2 rather than SoU. I must admit I was a bit surprised how few people posted here about the game, though. I think I might have been the only one that ran out and bought it the day it was released... A few others have picked it up since, but they haven't posted much.

Look at the pattern on the flags in the tomb. That is the shape that you place the runestones on the pressure plates. Also here is a handy diagram:
[x]= runestone
[o]=empty space
[y]=you

[x][o][o][y]
[o][x][x][o]
[o][x][x][o]
[x][o][o][x] (I think that's right, but you get the general idea )

I trust you have killed thr Gargoyles first

Hehe, yeah, I've noticed that the Gothic games seems to be the most popular ones at RPGdot. And I would have to agree! Together with Morrowind, I think Gothic2 is one of the best games released over the last few years! But I needed a break from them, and SoU beckoned me...
