To the mines North of the town on Chapter two. I've cleaned out the 3 linked caves but need to get the key to the mine. Where in tarnation is it? |

If I'm not mistaken, this are the Port Llast mines. This is a part of a quest and you will be given the key by the quest giver. If this is enough stop reading now. Otherwise keep reading.

This is the conclusion of the bounty hunt quests. After you're done delivering all but one of the ears to the mercenary leader he will tell you his daughter has been kindnapped by the boss guy and taken into the old mines. He'll give you the key to go get her back.

I thought the mines were associated with Gerrols wife. I think I'll just wait until I run into her.. |

I can't seem to talk to the right person. Who has that quest? Also where is Gerrols wife. I can't find her either. Grrr... |

Speak to Kendrack in Kendrack's Barracks about the bounty hunt quest and getting into the mines. The option to get into the mines will not come up until his daughter is kidnapped. That will not happen until you fetch all the other criminals' ears. Kendrack's Barracks is where Aribeth and Aarin are standing around waiting for you to solve their mystery.
Gerrol's wife is in the Bugbear Caves. You'll know she is near when you find a bugbear torturing another bugbear. She's in the next room.

Strange, that didn't open that area for me. I've returned all ears except for Yesgar. I suppose this is the *boss*. I've finished all quests except to charwood (castle) and Daelin's axe. I wonder why I can't get the quest to find the daughter?
