Orc Warriors

Hi,

after about 15 days I finally got to chapter to.
I joined the militia and am clvl 9. I am wearing light militia armor and use a mace (damage 50). I got 58 strength, 20 dexterity, 45 normal defence.

I've just entered the vally of mines and I've come across the first Orc Warriors. These guys give me the run around!

Only If I make a perfect attempt at blocking each strike and directly
counterattack I manage to kill one. But the reality is I miss quite often on blocking and thus I get slaughtered.

If I manage to kill one, the sense of satisfaction is tremendous, however I
get a little bored of the many reloads it costs me.

I am too weak for these guys or what ? I need better protection!

Any tips are welcome

You could try dodging back instead of blocking. When an Orc Warrior runs at you circelling his weapon over his head, swing your sword 2 times hitting him from left and right and then press the "back" button to move backwards, the orc will run at you and you can hit him again, and so on untill he dies

Yeah thats a good tactic cause orcs are slow (with the exception of elites)
but if they do get a hit in then it's almost over if you have light armor!

When I first entered the Valey of mines I was level 15. IIRC Strength 65. Dexterity 40. 1h 50%. Wielding Orcslayer... which is cool for a Magician. I have no trouble defeating anything except Orc Elites.

I suggest you go back to the first map and gain a couple of levels or more, and find those King's Sorrel. +40 in STR +40 in Dex helps.

I was under the impression I had taken it slow already.
Did mosts of the quests in ch1, killed most of the wildlife, except for some
shadowbeasts and wargs.

When will I have the opportunity to get some heavier armor ?

Als what about the sorrel? I have one, but how will it improve my strength?

About the king Sorral, you need it to create permanent potions, ie: dex and str. Sagita (sp?) can help you with that. However, to make dex potions you also need goblin berries and to make str potions you need dragon root. OR... you can just eat the dragon root or the goblin berries to gain the +1 str or dex they give. Potions can give you either +5 or +15 depending or level. So, I suggest saving them until you can make better potions.

Come on guys!

Play the game, don't uber ur character!
U r not supposed to kill even a single orc during the second Chapter
(Or the third for that matter), U should use wisdom and speed to avoid fights like that. When u'll get much better protection, then try on some Orcs.
If u need tips on how to get to the castle, search the furom..

Uhmz, There's just this pass and it is full of orcs. I'll never manage to run pass them.

Anyhow. I finally got a working strategy. So far I killed about 15 orcs
I lure them away one at a time (love the deep growl they maken )
and let the Orc come running towards me.
When he's about to strike (axe above his head), I hit the combo: normal and then left (or right). When timed right it takes about 30%-50% off their
health. Repeat until they are lying down

But one mis-timed attack and I am beaf

Well, those orc shamans, that's a whole different story

Like I said

U don't have to kill a single Orc during the second Chapter.
If u would have listened to the Hunter outside the pass u would have heard that there is a more secure way to get to the pass.
To our issue, on the left side of the canyon, there is a small and narrow tunnel (It's a little before u meet the first Orc), climb that tunnel and Walla! u made it to the pass with hearing a single Orc.
U can of course continue to practice ur skills on them...

I found that part, and went through the mine tunnel, but returned
And I must say, I like killing the orcs, good experience as well (250 each)
