If you really want to cheat you can use a memory trainer but it doesn't really add anything to the game, except prehaps unlimited fireball and bolt scrolls and you need quite alot of memory for it not to freeze up.
I used GameHack before but its not compatible with WinXP so I use TSearch now but both of these will work fine and if you want I will post up some time saving tips so you don't have to search for the location of every stat and skill (I haven't found the smithy, alchemy etc. skills yet but i have found the 1, 2 handed and Bow X-Bow skills). |

I think cheats ruin gameplay as well, BUT in the case of this demo I feel a bit diferently. I would just like to have godmode available so I can goof off in the non-demo area and not die. It's getting a bit frustrating.
I'm very close to just buying the German version and utilizing a translator. I simply cannot wait until February for this. Heh.
I want godmode! LOL

Alright if you want god mode here's how to do it:
Goto http://www.xcheater.com/cheattools.php and scroll down away and get TSearch (It'll be easier because I know this program).
Start up TSearch first otherwise you'll have problems Alt Tabbing out of Gothic.
Start up Gothic II Demo and load your Savegame.
Get up your status screen and look at your current health (not max).
Press Alt+Tab to switch to TSearch. The window might be behind the gothic screen to see it without going back into gothic (which will auto-open if it gets selected in the task bar) is to right click Tsearch in the task bar.
Click open process and choose Gothic2.exe (or closest).
Click on the magnifying glass without the dots and put in your current health next to value (you dont need to change anything else) and click ok
When it has finished click on ok and go back into the demo and change your health by getting hurt or by drinking a potion.
Alt Tab out again and this time click the magnifying glass WITH the dots and put in your new current health next to value then click ok.
You should just 1 value returned but if you get more just repeat the last two steps. If you do just get 1 value returned double click on the strange sequence of numbers and letters (called an address).
It should now appear abit to the right in a table like thing. Just change the value by double clicking the value box and put in your max health then click the checkbox on the left to freeze this value.
You can still die but you get resurrected immediately but your weapons will be unequiped and you won't be able to pick up items unless you go into combat mode and leave again |
