Hey all~

Anyone know where else to find the CoC other than from the Don in the Trynton Rat tree? I managed to kill him for the artifact he's got, but he didn't drop the cane...

I don't unfortunately, but I expected this post to be the same problem I'm having. My ninja can't use the damn thing for some reason.

What does it do again? I had one in Wiz7, I even had my faerie mage swap classes for it, but I can't remember what it did.

Yes, what it is CoC and what it is good for. I can not remember if I had one or what it was good for.

Maggot forgot one thing -- the Cane is cursed -- you can't remove it, or swap to an alternate ranged or extended weapon. So while your ninja faerie is wielding it, she can only damage nearby critters. Of course, she does a LOT of damage to those critters.

I believe the only source is the Don. So if you really really want the cane, you may have to save the game before entering his building. Then fight him over and over until he drops it. In my case, it took 4 fights. He might have had it the first one; we didn't live to find out.

Daniceck,

I didn't say that. It is a very nice item. Some say it is the very best weapon in the game. But the curse is a small downside to wielding it.

If you have someone in your party with the Remove Curse spell, it can be used to allow the ninja to remove the CoC. It stays cursed. When she wants to use it again (she will), it will be "stuck" in her hands again until the next Remove Curse.

If you can live with a character, who can't use ranged attack in combat (troublesome at least), and got low hitpoints and few armor posibilities for a melee fighter, then Coc is one of the best weapons to get!

Do Alchemists get Remove Curse? (i.e. do ninjas?)
