Ok, once you enter stormfist castle you lose the pyrmids until you progress the plot.
1) If you focus on progressing the plot and only doing things that progress the plot until you get to the point where you get the pyrmids back, about how much time are we talkin here?
2) Once you progress the plot to the point where you get the pyrmids back, what percentage of the game is left to be completed?
I can't understand why the devs put in this great game item and then take it away for as long as they are taken away for... I feel I made a huge mistake by entering stormfist castle as soon as I did, I should have completed more of the game before going in there and losing those damn pyrmids... _________________ The Poster Previously Known As NeptiOfPovar |

Progress only the plot? That means saving the exploration of Iona's dungeon for later and saving the exploration of the sewers (if you haven't explored them before going into the castle), I'd say only a few hours. You just bust out of Iona's dungeon, take a quick side-trip to Verdistis for info, then head into the sewers to get back into Stormfist Castle, rescue Zandalor, he teleports you to the Dwarven Bread Inn, some story stuff plays, then it's off to the Council of Seven and your pyramids. I had my pyramids back pronto.
What percentage is left? That depends on how much you did before going into Stormfist Castle. Have you completed most of the quests in your journal? Have you explored the Dark Forest, etc? There's still a lot left to do besides gathering the Council members and heading in for the end battle.
The devs giveth and they taketh away. I guess it makes you appreciate those little pyramids more. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

I entered stormfist at around L20 not realizing that that would sort of put me on this fixed path without my pyrmids for a little while.
Before entering stormfist, I had a good number of quests to finish. I'm thinking maybe I'll just restore my game just before entering the castle.
the main reason for my frustration not having the pyrmids is that i have to do so much back and forth walking around because im chronically out of mana... and the constant walking back and forth either to a bed, a mana shrine, or even all the way back to the surface to get more mana potions, is becoming monotonous. _________________ The Poster Previously Known As NeptiOfPovar |

I always stock up on potions. I had a ton left over by the end of the game. I never ran out. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

There are several vendors who can be reached easily via the main teleporters. I'd make a round trip to all the potion sellers and buy up all they had. There is Mardaneus in Aleroth, the other healers (at the Blue Boar Inn if you got them their escort), the Dwarven priest, and three of the merchants at the market square. Although the general store and the magic shop aren't guaranteed to have them. Also, you can speak to regular people and they'll often have a potion on them. _________________ Freeeeeeedom!
